Boom Lift and Scissor Lift Training – Beginner (Construction)

This training is designed for construction workers who have never taken a training course, as well as new operators, in accordance with the Safety Code for the Construction Industry (CSTC).

Objectives

Develop safe work practices.
Build skills for inspecting and operating a boom lift and a scissor lift.
Understand the causes of accidents and how to prevent them.

Content

Compliant with the Safety Code for the Construction Industry (CSTC)

Identify the operator’s responsibilities.
Detect potential hazards in the work environment.
Inspect equipment according to manufacturer standards.
Operate equipment following safety rules and best practices.
Evaluate the worker’s knowledge both theoretically and practically, including a minimum of one hour of hands-on operation per equipment (2.15.17.1).

2.15.17.1: Safety Code for the Construction Industry

Initial training for each type of equipment, with content equivalent to the Mobile Elevating Work Platforms – Operator (Driver) Training, CSA B354.8 standard.
The practical portion must include at least one hour of hands-on operation per worker for each type of equipment.
