Simplex was founded in 1907 by the Véronneau family. While the company originally specialized in tools and floor maintenance, it now provides individuals and businesses with an assortment of more than 55,000 different products for rental.

Since 1907, Simplex has been a family owned business and proud of its Quebec roots.

It is evident that the passion for entrepreneurship inherent with the mission for customer satisfaction is passed on from generation to generation, now reaching the 5th generation of Véronneau since 2016.

Winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies since the 2000s, Simplex is now part of a select group of Platinum member companies.

It is a true privilege for me to be able to work and contribute to the company that was founded in 1907 by my great-great-grandfather.


There is certainly a great feeling of pride to be able to participate in a project whose roots are so deeply ingrained in the past, which implies a great deal of responsibility including, but not limited to, continuing to evolve the business.

It was with great pleasure and humility that I took over the reins of the company in 2017 with the firm intention of propelling Simplex into the future.  

Our goal is clear: to be the leader in the tool rental industry of Quebec and elsewhere.

As a result, we have focused our efforts on several projects tailored towards achieving this objective. Here are the main initiatives that motivate our actions:

  • Become the most recognized and appreciated brand in the rental sector of Quebec for customers and employees.
  • Offer the simplest and most enjoyable rental experience at our branches in Quebec.
  • Offer the simplest and most efficient digital experience in the rental industry
  • Act locally and positively in our community.
  • Innovate by exploring new avenues and transform the market as we know it.

Today, we are launching our new website as well as our brand image, which as been modernized and refined.

Though our journey is far from over, this represents an initial step towards the evolution we wish to embark on. We are striving to give ourselves the means to develop our brand to its highest potential, all the while keeping the customer at the forefront of our concerns.

We are entering this new decade and I want to enable the company to remain innovative and relevant as it has been since 1907.


To propel Simplex into a future which is becoming even more complex and demanding, we believe that the best way to push forward is to put the power of simplicity at the service of your projects.
